Nursing Care
Meeting the standards of Nursing Practice is the challenge in provision
of long term care to the elder sick.
Internal Quality Assurance Assessment Process
1. Periodic assessment of care.
2. Periodic assessment of equipment.
3. Periodic assessment of care environment.
Gaps arising from these audits are address for continuous improvement
in conformance to guidelines and good practices.
Quality improvement teams work on a variety of project to optimise
equipment and procedures relating to patient care.
Continuous Nursing Education
In-service Education is conducted regularly by Geriatrician, Nursing
Officers and Staff.
COJTC programme
Ling Kwang Home trains and upgrading its staff to improve care,
in September 2003, Institute of Technical Education of Singapore
(ITE) Certified On-The-Job Training Centre (COJTC) commenced, and
to date is on-going.
