STATEMENT

ON
THE WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES
AND THE PENTECOSTAL MOVEMENT
Meeting
at the 17th World Congress of the ICCC held at the 21st Century Youth
Training Centre, belonging to the Glory Bible Presbyterian Church of
Seoul, Korea and taking place from June 8-14, 2005
WHEREAS:
The World Council of Churches (WCC) is using great efforts to seduce
the Pentecostal Churches with the purpose to incorporate them into the
ecumenical movement and to eventually bring them back into the Roman
Catholic fold.
WHEREAS:
The majority of the Pentecostal Churches reject ecumenism and are not
willing to return to the yoke of the Roman Catholic Church, and
WHEREAS:
The Pentecostal Churches cannot join the ICCC, due to the fact that
theologically they cannot accept the Bible as the only rule of faith
and practice.
WHEREAS:
There is evidence that some true believers are in the Pentecostal Churches,
and
WHEREAS:
The opposition to the WCC and its Ecumenical Movement require the cooperation
of those who refuse it.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
(A) That we should exhort the Pentecostal Churches in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ, that they should come together in the common front
against ecumenism.
(B) Let us offer help to the Pentecostal Churches that want to organize
to resist the seduction of the WCC, and
(C) Exhort all members to pray that the Lord would raise up Pentecostal
leaders that are needed to unite its churches in an association that
can resist effectively the seduction of the WCC.
